Regional Safe Streets for All Safety Action Plan Open Houses

Dayton, OH – The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) is developing a comprehensive roadway safety action plan to reduce deaths and serious injuries on the Region’s roadways. A series of open houses will be held to share information about the project. The public is invited to attend to learn more about transportation safety across the Miami Valley Region and to provide input on improvements that are needed to make travel safer and easier.

MVRPC was awarded a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Planning Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to develop a comprehensive safety action plan. The safety action plan aims to enhance safety and prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries in the Miami Valley region. Input and feedback collected from the public throughout the planning process will help create a list of projects and priorities, including infrastructure enhancements and programs that benefit all road users, including transit users, pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.
