b'Sustainable Solutions & Environment MVRPC Encouraging Safe Bike Commuting in the Region MVRPCs Rideshare Program once again support the Bike to Work Day event hosted by Five Rivers MetroParks at Riverscape MetroPark held on May 17, 2024. This annual event is a celebration of bike commuting with cycling enthusiasts from across the Region biking to downtown Dayton for live music and free pancake breakfast. While the last few years have seen picture perfect weather, this year riders braved the rain to enjoy the celebration. Event with the rain 200 cyclists attended the event. MVRPC staff was on-site to distribute bike light kits to those who needed a front white and red back light for safe bike commuting and other bike related items to promote the Rideshare Program Commute Resources.In the Fall of 2024, MVRPCs Rideshare Program partnered with Bike Miami Valley to support bike commuting in the Region with Bike Light Kit Install events.
