b'Regional StewardshipTurner Road Corridor Comprehensive Redevelopment PlanDuring 2024, MVRPC worked with the City of Trotwood and Harrison Township to develop the Turner Road Corridor Comprehensive Redevelopment Plan. The Turner Road Corridor was selected due to significant damage sustained throughout this area caused by the 2019 Memorial Day tornadoes. The desired outcome of the plan is to establish a framework that will allow Harrison Township and Trotwood to establish a relationship for future development opportunities. Due to their unique location, Harrison Township and City of Trotwood plan to expand their partnership through theTurner Road Corridorcreation of a Comprehensive Redevelopment Strategy andCOMPREHENSIVE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN Plan for the Turner Road Corridor. The strategy will allowDECEMBER 2024 both communities to competitively market sites along this corridor and benefit from development through the use of shared economic development tools. A comprehensive redevelopment strategy and plan will guide future development opportunities along the Turner Road CorridorAs described in the introduction of the plan boundaries. The plan was approved in December 2024.For Trotwood and Harrison Township, seizing this moment means taking deliberate, bold action to shape their own future. Change wont happenthey need to be in the drivers seat, setting a clear direction for where theyre headed, identifying the resources required, and outlining practical steps to get there.
