Preble County Park District (PCPD), with assistance from the MKSK Studios, developed a Master Plan for the Herbert and Patricia Wagers Devils Backbone Memorial Park. The Herbert and Patricia Wagers Devils Backbone Memorial Park consists of 24 acres of land just west of the Village of Camden. The park has a 945-foot mountain peak, unique limestone formations, waterfalls, a rich history, and an abundance of natural beauty. The land was called Devils Backbone by the Miami Indians, due to its rocky ridge. Patricia Wagers and her son, Herb Wagers, wanted to preserve the property as a green space and honor Herbert (Husband & Father) who had recently passed. They included Devils Backbone in the name to further preserve the rich history of the property.
