Transportation Alternatives (TA)

The TA program provides funding for programs and projects defined as transportation alternatives, including on- and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility, community improvement activities, and environmental mitigation; recreational trail program projects; safe routes to school projects; and projects for planning, designing, or constructing boulevards and other roadways largely in the right-of-way of former Interstate System routes or other divided highways. 2018 TA Applications Received

On September 6, 2018 the Board formally authorized MVRPC staff to solicit qualified member jurisdictions for new transportation projects using MVRPC regionally controlled federal funds (STP, CMAQ, or TA). Subsequently, staff solicited MVRPC area jurisdictions beginning on September 6, 2018. These applications for Funds were received by the October 10, 2018 deadline. Written comments will be accepted through Friday, November 16, 2018, add your comments below.

2017 TA APPROVED PROJECT FUNDING

On March 1, 2018, the MVRPC Board approved $1.3 million for 4 TA projects. Please see the detailed project award lists below.

2016 TA APPROVED PROJECT FUNDING

On March 2, 2017, the MVRPC Board approved $2.1 million for 7 TA projects. Please see the detailed project award lists below.

2015 TA APPROVED PROJECT FUNDING

On March 3, 2016, the MVRPC Board approved $1.5 million for 6 TA projects. Please see the detailed project award lists below.

2014 TA Approved Project Funding

On March 5, 2015, the MVRPC Board approved $1.8 million for 5 TA projects. Please see the detailed project award lists below.

2013 TA Approved Project Funding
