Eleven local entities will be awarded grant funding through the Specialized Transportation Program, also known as the Section 5310 - Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program. The funding, totaling close to $750,000, is made available through the Federal Transit Administration and is designed to improve transportation options for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. A large portion of the funding requested will be earmarked for the acquisition of ADA-compliant vehicles to serve the growing demand for handicap-accessible transportation service throughout the Region. October 2018 Update

MVRPC hosts the Human Services Transportation Coordination Council meetings each quarter. The council’s purpose is to increase options for people with disabilities and seniors through the coordination of public and private providers and the expansion of efforts and resources. MVRPC invites you to attend the upcoming Public Participation Meeting to be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, regarding a Long Range Transportation Plan amendment to re-establish ozone conformity. The Regional Air Pollution Control Agency (RAPCA) monitors the air in the Miami Valley. If and when air pollution levels are forecasted to be high, an "Air Pollution Advisory" will be issued by MVRPC, in conjunction with RAPCA. April 2018 Update

Your daily commute can be costly but, what if you could split the cost and the responsibility with others? With Gohio Commute, you can! Gohio Commute is a FREE service available to anyone who lives, works, or attends college in Montgomery, Greene, Miami, Preble, Darke, and Clinton Counties. It provides information on commuting options, such as carpooling, vanpooling, and bikepooling, and matches applicants with others who have similar schedules and destinations. March 2018 Update

In coordination with multiple trail-managing agencies across the Region, MVRPC has conducted a trail user survey every four years since 2009. Results from the 2017 survey are outlined in the infographic titled Tale of the Trails. Notable findings include an increase in the economic impact of the trails. More people are buying hard and soft goods related to their trail use.
