Transportation Alternatives (TA)

The Transportation Alternatives (TA) program provides funding for programs and projects defined as transportation alternatives, including on- and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility, community improvement activities, and environmental mitigation; recreational trail program projects; safe routes to school projects; and projects for planning, designing, or constructing boulevards and other roadways largely in the right-of-way of former Interstate System routes or other divided highways. 2016 TA Project Solicitation

On September 1, 2016 the Board formally authorized MVRPC staff to solicit qualified member jurisdictions for new transportation projects using MVRPC regionally controlled federal funds (STP. CMAQ or TA). Subsequently, staff solicited MVRPC area jurisdictions beginning on September 7, 2016. These applications for Funds were received by the October 5, 2016 deadline.

In accordance with the Ohio Statewide Urban CMAQ Committee in CMAQ Program policy, all CMAQ projects approved by the MVRPC Board of Directors will be forwarded for review in the statewide CMAQ program.

2015 TA APPROVED PROJECT FUNDING
