The purpose of this process is to establish a list of projects which benefit the Dayton Region to be submitted as funding requests. The intent of this process is to present the list in a timely fashion in a format that is useful to the delegations and contains projects that are mature and potentially eligible for funding. The list will be categorized to help guide the delegation.
MVRPC is the lead agency for Transportation projects and Government Services projects. Transportation projects include any surface, air, rail, transit, and pedestrian transportation-related projects. Government Services projects include any criminal justice, first responders, community and neighborhood infrastructure, and K-12 education projects. The Transportation projects and Government Services projects will be evaluated by review panels. The MVRPC Review Panels will categorize projects by the importance of the project and by the impact the proposed project will have in the overall area. The list of categorized projects will then be sent to the MVRPC Board structure for final review and adoption and submittal to the Dayton Regional Priority Development and Advocacy Committee.
The Dayton Regional Priority Development and Advocacy Committee will present the approved project list to the Dayton region federal legislative delegations. Project sponsors who agree to participate in the process are expected to support overall project categorization. Sponsors of any project, no matter where it appears on the categorized list, are under no obligation to limit their own advocacy activities in support of their project, as long as they acknowledge the categorized list.
Below are all documents necessary for project submittal. Project sponsors who wish to submit Transportation requests are required to self-score their projects using the PES scoring system, which is inclusive of the MVRPC Project Readiness Criteria. Government Services requestors are required to self-score their projects using the PES scoring system.
