Traffic Count/Volume Maps

2006 Update

MVRPC publishes a traffic count map approximately every 4 years with the assistance of participating jurisdictions in MVRPC's Traffic Monitoring Program and the Ohio Department of Transportation. The latest traffic information was published in 2003 showing Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) on major roads in the Miami Valley Region between 1997 and 2002. The Miami Valley Traffic Count Viewer is an interactive web-based map for users to find traffic counts in the region. MVRPC is compiling updated counts from 2003 to 2005 and adding counts for local roads. A Traffic Count Viewer tutorial is available to download.

Traffic volumes shown (AADT=Annual Average Daily Traffic) are based on manual or machine counts that are seasonally adjusted to represent an average day of the year.  All volumes are bidirectional with the exception of volumes on one-way streets.  The data used is from counts taken between 1997 and 2002 by local jurisdictions participating in the traffic counting program, ODOT, and MVRPC.

The map is also available on CD-ROM at the MVRPC offices or it can be mailed out directly to those requesting it. Please follow our guidelines to order on CD-ROM, or follow the links below to get the latest traffic count information maps. All maps are in PDF, click here if you experience PDF problems .
