Going Places Phase I Executive Summary
The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) is pleased to announce the release of the Going Places Phase I Executive Summary report.
The Phase I Executive Summary report is a summation of all of the work completed under the existing conditions assessment phase of Going Places: An Integrated Land Use Vision for the Miami Valley Region . It also presents the results of a comparison between the physical and non-physical assessment portions of Phase I.
The report contains summaries of each of the reports completed during Phase I, highlighting the most important information and providing a review of the data analysis and conclusions. It begins with an introductory section which provides a synopsis of the Going Places initiative and introduces the various reports that comprise Phase I. The next section reviews the reports that make up the physical condition assessment portion of Phase I, such as the Miami Valley Land Development Suitability Assessment. The third section is devoted to the non-physical condition assessment portion of Phase I, such as the Miami Valley Housing Assessment and the Miami Valley Commercial Development Assessment. The fourth section provides a comparison of the results of the Miami Valley Land Development Suitability Assessment and the Miami Valley Land Use Demand Assessment, effectively comparing the supply of developable land with a projection of the land needed for future development.
