Bike to Work Day

 

 Friday, May 19, 2017 - 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Join the local chapter of this national effort and commute to work by bike. Meet at Five Rivers MetroParks' RiverScape MetroPark for a free pancake breakfast, live music, entertainment, and prizes. Plus, peruse a variety of booths featuring information on how to bike to work every day and much more. Register on-site for team challenges to win sweet prizes. Staggered Start: 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Event ends at 12:00 noon

Join us for cycling excursions along the Great Miami Riverway. Two round-trip adventures are offered. Bicycle safety, trail information, and refreshments are available. Kayaking is available in Franklin (river conditions permitting). Riders 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Free helmets and fittings while supplies last. Bike or Carpool to the Dayton Dragons Baseball Games

 

Sundays – May 21; June 25; July 23; August 6, 2017 (All games begin at 2:00 p.m.)

Bike to the Dayton Dragons baseball games on these dates and you’ll be treated to free, valet bicycle parking right on the main plaza, free giveaways and we’ll cover the entry to the game for the first 50 registered riders. Register for your bike parking space at www.daytondragons.com

Carpool to the Dayton Dragons baseball games on these dates and the first 10 cars to pre-register for selected Sunday games during the 2017 season get free parking! Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission's RIDESHARE Program have arranged for FREE reserved parking for 10 vehicles, in the parking garage on the corner of Patterson St. and Monument Ave. Must enter the parking garage as a carpool of four (4). Only 20 vehicle parking and 40 bike parking spaces are available. Everyone who registers for the special bike/carpool parking, and uses the bike parking/carpool parking, will receive a FREE ticket to the concert. The Greater Dayton RTA now puts the power of tracking your next bus at your fingertips. RTA’s RideTime products -- with call-in, text and online features plus the easy-to-use Transit app -- uses GPS and real-time technology to let riders know the time their bus should arrive at their stop down to the minute. The RTA team will demonstrate these new tools at the Ride with RTA event Visitors will enjoy a step-by-step training on how to plan their trips using their preferred tool and receive prizes just for trying each product.
