Miami County is home to the Ohio to Indiana Trail (36) and the northern end of the Great Miami River Trail (25). The Ohio to Indiana Trail travels through Piqua, crossing the Great Miami River. Temporary on-road routes have been marked to span Miami County from east to west, connecting with road routes in Darke and Champaign Counties. The Great Miami River Trail (25) continues north from Montgomery County, following the meandering Great Miami River. Trail 25 travels past many of the parks in Tipp City and Troy. The trail continues through and a little beyond the Twin Arch Reserve. Here, there is a current gap in the trail, which resumes just north of Peterson Road, extending through Piqua to The Johnston Farm historical area, just north of Piqua.
