Description:
From urban skylines to beautiful river vistas, the Great Miami River Trail has something for everyone. The trail winds its way near museums, picnic facilities, acres of natural parkland and over gently rolling terrain—a perfect match for the runner, skater or cyclist.

The main section extends from Franklin traveling north through Miamisburg, Dayton, Tipp City and Troy in close proximity to top-notch museums, numerous monuments, stadiums and RiverScape. The main section wanders its way through the heavily wooded Taylorsville MetroPark and along the scenic Great Miami River, past Taylorsville Dam and Tadmor Historic Site, and on to the Tipp Nature Center and historic Waco Airfield near Troy.

The northern section begins south of Piqua, heads through town and ends at near Johnston Farm Historical Area.

Don’t overlook sections of this trail in Middletown and Hamilton in Butler County. Bout 12 miles of trail wind through these cities’ great attractions and locales. Future plans include connecting these segments with the Main section of the Great Miami River Trail.
